Golden Spiders renamed the Eircom Spiders

The Golden Spiders, Ireland’s premier internet awards is changing its name to the Eircom Spiders for 2010.
The annual awards, which began in 1997, recognise the best and most innovative online developments in Ireland. The awards not only reward Irish businesses and community organisations but also individuals for their creativity and innovation.

The online presence of the awards themselves is also moving from goldenspiders.ie to thespiders.ie with Eircom remaining as sponsors for the fifth year in a row. The renaming suggests that a long term agreement has been reached with the title sponsors.
