Stating the obvious – Health & Safety Authority Ireland

Health & Safety Authority should get prize for stating the obvious.

Reports from a major international road safety conference being held in Dublin suggest that someone actually said that “drivers who clock up more than 40,000km a year are at a higher risk of being involved in an accident.”

While this is a very serious issue, it is hard to believe that a highly paid official of a state body made that statement while managing to keep a straight face.
Of course people who don’t drive at all reduce their risk of being involved in an accident
