Cork win All-Ireland Camogie Championship

18,727 fans watched Cork dig deep to finish five-point ahead of Galway in the this afternoon’s Gala All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship final at a very wet Croke Park.

Cork weren’t keen to have a repeat performance of last year’s defeat to Wexford, and a super defensive display helped them lift the O’Duffy Cup for what is their 23rd time.

Sile Burns’ two first-half goals were the decisive scores in the Cork victory while Galway teenage star Jessica Gill played a major part in ensuring her team kept in touch.

Cork captain Caitriona Foley was presented the O’Duffy Cup by Camogie Association president Liz Howard.
